When the worst happens underground, your people have somewhere to go.
Wattrix builds refuge chambers in Australia, our first product with more to come. But the chamber you rely on does not have to be ours. We service every major brand on site under one relationship and one record. That is the part most manufacturers do not offer.
Three chamber sizes. One discipline.
Three sizes: RC4, RC12, RC20. Each specified to your site, your crew size, and applicable mine safety guidance. Built to the Wattrix operations manual WTX-OG-01 and validated at commissioning.
Four-person base. Six-person upgraded.
Smallest in range. CO scrubber, O2 backup, communications, lighting, battery backup. Built for narrow vein and development crews. The upgraded variant carries six on extended duration.
Twelve to fourteen person.
Mid-range. Same standard features plus extended duration and specialist communications options. Sized for production crews and ERT secondary refuge.
Twenty-person fleet chamber.
Largest in range. Extended duration as standard. Primary ERT staging and long-duration emergency scenarios. The chamber site managers spec when the worst case has to be planned for.
Designed from the other side of the job.
Before Wattrix, Adam Farrugia serviced and refurbished refuge chambers from every big name in the industry. He spent months underground with them, and the hardest part of the job was never the servicing. It was the chamber itself. So the WTX range was designed as a user, maintainer and refurbisher, not from a drawing board alone.
Every serviceable component sits at the front of the chamber, so routine underground service is done from one position. The manual handling comes out of the job.
Disconnect it, swap in a standby unit on the spot, or lift the module out with an IT loader and service it in the workshop. The crew stops carrying batteries over broken rock, and the chamber is back in service sooner.
Standard on the fixed range. The chamber moves with an IT loader instead of being dragged.
Interchangeable parts across the range. One spares shelf, whatever the mix on site.
Easier to use and easier to maintain is not a convenience. It is what keeps a chamber emergency ready at all times, and being ready is what gets people home. That is the standard we hold the range to. Put it next to the others and judge it on the job: it stands on its own.

Across every major chamber brand on site.
Wattrix services refuge chambers across all major brands deployed in Australian mining, plus our own WTX range. One service relationship, one fleet view, one record. This is chamber custodianship: we hold the fleet, the regime, and the record for the life of the asset, whatever brand is on site.
A structured inspection regime runs from pre-shift checks through to annual strip-down and post-event verification, every step against the Wattrix operations manual, every result in one record whatever the brand. The detail, the forms, and the cadence built to your site come with engagement.

Getting every person home is the whole point. Four people carry that responsibility. Wattrix gives each of them what they need.
Delivered to program.
Specified to your site, your crew size, your guidance. One point of contact from order to commissioning. No surprises at handover.
Ready before the shift.
Every chamber checked on cadence, daily through annual, never skipped. You know the refuge is ready before your people are in front of it.
The regime documented.
Battery load, charger output, earth continuity. The electrical inspections on file, signed, and traceable.
Audit-ready, every brand.
One record across the whole fleet, whatever brand the chamber is. When the regulator asks, the evidence is ready.
All major brands. All rack systems.
Cordless and corded cap lamps across all major brands. Retrofit kits for every rack system. Spares supplied direct, with the WTX store to come. The sites that moved from cordless to corded tell us why in three words: cordless walks, corded stays.
AMCL Licensee ID 9223. Current to 31 May 2027.
Wattrix holds the Australian Made and Owned licence for the WTX refuge chamber. Manufactured in Victoria, built to your site and applicable safety guidance. The mark on the chamber is the licence number on file.
WTX chambers are manufactured in Australia and deployed across Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Saudi Arabia, Côte d'Ivoire, Burkina Faso, and Namibia. Same regime, same record architecture, same Pulse evidence on file, anywhere the chamber is deployed.
Wattrix chambers on Pulse from the day we hand them over.
Wattrix-delivered chambers are onboarded into the Pulse record, and chambers we service are brought onto the same record. Site managers see service status, next scheduled inspection, and compliance posture against applicable safety guidance.
